Both Tim and Piper have art class this session, though in different classes. Piper has moved up to Intermediate A which means she has an hour and a half class for the first time. Since she’s always taken more than an hour, this should be a nice change. Her class seems to be a similar format with more advanced topics. This week she learned about crosshatching. Given that she really likes little details, the lesson was particularly well received.
Tim’s class is more of an independent study class. He chose from several pictures of a kingfisher and the instructor walked around giving pointers and offering up techniques. On this drawing they were only supposed to use lines.
Very different drawings, but I thought they both did a really nice job. I’m looking forward to seeing the work from the rest of the session.
