Centripetal Force

So far, so good with Exploration Education Intermediate Physics.  We had a little glitch at first with it not running on Mac Snow Leopard, but technical support did a beautiful job.  I was provided with regular updates and given an online version of the first few chapters so we did not have to wait for a fix to start.  Last week they emailed me a new executable that took care of the problem.  Piper is enjoying  the experiments and loved working with the electric racer.  I think the computer format provides a nice change.  The writing seems to be just enough without being overwhelming and it is wonderful having all of the supplies at hand.  I am glad that I chose to do the program this year though since I’m not entirely sure it would be enough for my very science oriented kid in 8th grade, even with the extras included for that age range.  Here’s Piper experimenting with centripetal force.  The cup is 1/2 full of water and she didn’t spill a drop!
