The hotel we stayed at was right in the middle of Times Square. Not because I love Times Square so much (crazy crowded, mediocre food), but rather because it’s very centrally located to just about everything we wanted to see. Piper definitely had a love/hate relationship with New York City. We decided to walk from the train to our hotel when we arrived which was probably not the best idea we’ve ever had, especially since we arrived in the middle of rush hour. Masses of people and luggage does not make for a lot of fun. Probably not the best introduction we could have given her since it was very overwhelming even for an adult. Luckily with a nudging we did convince her to leave the hotel again because she did thoroughly enjoy all of the things we got to do. It was wonderful to see her confidence grow over the few days we were there.
Tim splurged a little and got us a corner room with an awesome view.
If you look very closely, you can see the New Year’s ball above the Toshiba sign behind us.
