Piper has spent at least a little time in the neighbor’s pool every day for the last two weeks. I’ve actually been wondering lately if we even needed to sign her up for swimming lessons. Granted I’m sure part of that comes from the fact that I have to sit in the chaos while she is taking them. Let’s just say the Grinch’s quote about “the noise, Noise, NOISE” comes immediately to mind. Oh, and about half of her lesson was over in a corner we can’t see at all through the “observation window” which is about the size of my patio door. Anyhow, just from her swimming and practicing next door she managed to place in the intermediate class. She is almost swimming the length of the pool underwater now and this seems to be a goal, so I’m guessing she’ll have it by the end of the summer. I don’t think she loved the lesson, but she did see the benefit of know the names of things and getting some formal instruction. Between the barn, art lessons, and potential cello lessons, I’m not at all sad that this looks like it will only be for the summer. So thankful we have such awesome neighbors!
